Milestone Projects
Milestone projects have been developed by our own Child care professionals at All About Learning. The objective of these is to assist the children, staff, and parents in recognizing the developmentally appropriate areas of growth for the children at each age level. The projects are designed to be “hands on”, age appropriate and fun. We have gathered information from the top selling resources in Education of Young Children. With this information we have designed some simple exercises and observation forms for staff to use with your children. These projects are designed to be repeated and to show on going growth. We do not expect children to have complete “success” in all areas right away. Children all develop individually with varying strengths and weaknesses. These projects are designed to assess the strengths in age appropriate activities. What we hope to see is the children continually improving at the exercises. This documentation can be reviewed at any time, just ask your child’s teacher where the “Milestone projects” are kept. As we see your child mastering the skills then we will turn these projects over to you for your family memories. We will continue on with more difficult exercises to continually promote growth for your child in all areas of development.
We provide developmental assessments through our "Milestone Projects" for all of the children every 6 months. If you would like an assessment of your child’s developmental achievements at any time, please let your child's teacher or a director know and we will be happy to meet with you .
